Gears of War 3 is available exclusively on Xbox 360. It is also being offered as part of the Gears of War season pass, which entitles fans to four pieces of DLC for 2400 Microsoft Points (£20.40 / $30). 'Fenix Rising will be available to download on Janufor 800 Microsoft Points (£6.80 / $10). 'Fenix Rising' is the third DLC for Gears of War 3, following the 'Horde Command Pack' and 'RAAM's Shadow'. This can be done up to three times, with exclusive rank icons and weapon skins unlocked with each 're-up'. Players who reach level 100 will have the option to 're-up', which resets their experience and rank while keeping all other progress intact. The DLC will also provide access to the 'Recruit Clayton' and 'Thrashball Cole' skins when playing as a COG and the 'Savage Marauder' and 'Savage Kantus' skins when playing as Locust in multiplayer.
Maps included will be based on locales from the single player campaign, such as Academy, Anvil, Depths, Escalation and The Slab. Living as a man outside the shadow of the gods, Kratos must adapt to unfamiliar lands, unexpected threats, and a second chance at being a father. 'Fenix Rising' will feature five new multiplayer maps for Versus, Horde and Beast modes, new multiplayer skins and the option to 're-up' at level 100 online. Gears of War 3 will receive the 'Fenix Rising' map pack next month.
